If you’re traveling with kids, a visit to the Aquaria KLCC is a must. The Aquaria is an underwater park showcasing some of the most interesting water creatures in Malaysia. It is located near the Petronas Twin Towers Kuala Lumpur City Centre, directly below the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, covering an area of 60, 000 square feet of its Concourse level.

It offers visitors several ways of enjoying the attractions. In the Discovery Zone, projectors and monitors offer guests a whole lot of information, facts and trivia about the fascinating creatures on exhibit, including land animals. There are also kiosks that provide virtual exploration of the sea and its fauna.

In the Aqua Theater, you’ll see through the windows over 250 different species of different sea creatures. There are endangered animals featured and in the area, you’ll learn more about them and what efforts have been done to save them. You’ll also have the chance to touch some of the marine animals on exhibit at the Touch Pool and learn more about them as well. Throughout the day, feeding sessions are also available where you’ll get to see how they eat as they are fed by the divers.

Another very famous attraction of the park is their “Cage Rage” or the shark diving sessions, where you’ll get to swim with the friendly sharks while you’re inside a big human cage for protection.

The main attraction of the park, however, is its 90 meter-long underwater tunnel where you’ll be able to see and observe underwater creatures such as eels, rays, turtles, sharks and many other species. The experience of going through the tunnel will leave you feeling awed by the wonders of nature and the ocean creatures.

It is a learning experience that you and your children shouldn’t miss while you’re in Kuala Lumpur. Just a five minute-walk from the Petronas Towers, the Aquaria KLCC is a great way to spend a couple of your hours on vacation.
